Here’s a bit about who I am, Mark Soporowski. I grew up in Old Bridge, NJ, and have proudly called Middletown home since 2009. When it came time to choose a place to start my family, Middletown was the clear choice, offering the perfect blend of community, education, and opportunity.

Since 2009, I’ve been the owner of a small business right here in town, where I’ve had the privilege of employing and interacting with many Middletown families over the years. Building a business in this community has been a rewarding experience, allowing me to contribute to the local economy and strengthen the ties that make Middletown special.

Before settling down, I had the unique opportunity to work in the music industry, traveling the world and experiencing diverse cultures. This experience broadened my perspective and deepened my appreciation for the arts—an appreciation I bring into my advocacy for music and art programs in our schools.

In addition to my professional and family life, I’ve been an active participant on the sidelines of town and Board of Education meetings for many years. This involvement has given me a deep understanding of the issues that matter most to our community.

My wife, Emily, is a dedicated middle school music educator, and together we are raising two wonderful children: Grace, who is 7 and in second grade, and John, who is 5 and just starting kindergarten. Our family is deeply invested in education, and I’m passionate about ensuring that all children in Middletown have access to the best possible learning environment.

When I’m not working, you’ll often find me enjoying the simple pleasures of life—attending summer concerts at the Arts Center, fishing, gardening, and making music. I cherish being able to share these moments with my family, creating lasting memories with my kids and staying connected to the community I love.

As a candidate for the Board of Education, I’m committed to bringing common sense, transparency, and a focus on family values to our schools. Middletown has given me so much, and I’m ready to give back by ensuring that our children have the support and resources they need to .
